TRAI amends Television Advertisement Regulations

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has issued new amendments to the Standards of Quality of Service Regulations (Duration of Advertisements in Television Channels) Regulations, 2012 limiting TV advertisements to 12 minutes per hour. The regulations prohibit carrying over any shortfall in ad duration and mandate a minimum gap of 15 minutes between ad breaks, extended to 30 minutes for movies.
