Draft Personal Data Protection Bill (PDP) 2019 introduced in Parliament

The Personal Data Protection Bill (PDP) 2019 has been introduced in the Lok Sabha by Ravi Shankar Prasad, the Minister of Electronics and Information Technology. The bill is a proposed legislation by the Parliament of India that covers mechanisms for the protection of personal data and proposes the setting up of a Data Protection Authority of India.
