Government to establish a Cyber Coordination Centre

The Government of India is establishing the ‘Indian Cyber Coordination Centre’ (I-4C) to bolster monitoring and capacity building against cyber crimes. As reported by the Times of India, I-4C has a proposed budget of Rs 500 crore and aims to address offenses such as child pornography and cyber bullying, develop forensic cyber labs, and link with state police through the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network System (CCTNS). This initiative builds on the 2013 cyber security policy and the existing India Cybercrime Centre.
