TRAI has issued a consultation paper on “Review of measures to protect interest of consumers in Telecom Sector” to address consume grievances. Different regulations had been enacted by TRAI on various occasions to ensure effective redressal of consumer grievances and ensuring reliability of billing and metering and maintaining high standards of QoS. TRAI went a step ahead further strengthening the consumer redressal mechanisms for the benefit of the consumer. The Consultation paper is available here.
